#SoniaCertified: Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

Fall is upon us, and I don’t know about you, but ever since Arya went back to school I’ve been trying to reset from the “Covid Summer of 2020”. It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I will say that it’s felt great to find my groove again. I haven’t been doing anything revolutionary, but I have been able to establish some new routines, catch up on work, define new goals, and gain clarity on how I intend to execute the remaining months of the year (with a lot of contingency planning, because let’s face it… Covid. Ugh!)

I’ve also been exploring tools and technology that will help me stay focused, accountable, and committed to achieving my goals. One of my favourite finds so far? The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, which I got at Best Buy. This one little gadget has given me the push I need to stay consistent with my daily tracking.


Seriously? Look how pretty it is. It’s just so pretty.

Okay but even more seriously, let me just say that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has been the perfect addition to my life since I started wearing professional clothes again (from the waist up, of course… because let’s be honest, nobody’s fancy on the bottom for Zoom presentations). It’s sleek and real-watch-aesthetic make it wearable with almost any non-fitness outfit, which is frankly why it’s now at the top of my “activity tracker” list

Yes, of course I still love some of my other fitness trackers as well, but if I’m being honest, I had gotten into a pretty useless cycle with them once I stopped wearing sweatshirts all day, everyday. Here’s what was happening every time I had a presentation or workshop to run:

  1. Take off fitness tracker because it doesn’t go with outfit
  2. Give presentation / run workshop
  3. Forget to put fitness tracker back on
  4. Realize hours later that watch wasn’t put back on
  5. Lose data for the day
  6. Feel frustrated

The same sequence of events happened again, and again, and again! I’m not kidding. So silly and annoying.

Okay, now other than the watch being lovely to look at, I feel like I should probably mention that the watch has all the bells and whistles when it comes to features. Of course it has all the standard stuff, like: sleep, calories, steps, workouts, and water. But, it also goes over and above by providing data around your monthly periods, oxygen saturation in the blood, and blood pressure (just to name a few).

Stylish and functional? A total win-win.
